About Our Dermal Fillers
JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel is a smooth consistency, hyaluronic acid dermal filler that helps to instantly restore your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Synthetic hyaluronic acid is bioidentical to the body's own naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, which gives the skin volume and hydration. JUVÉDERM is made by the same company that produces BOTOX® Cosmetic and comes in several formulations: JUVÉDERM Ultra, JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus, and JUVÉDERM XC.
- JUVÉDERM Ultra provides versatility in contouring and volumizing facial wrinkles and folds.
- JUVÉDERM Ultra Plus is a more robust formulation for volumizing and correcting deeper folds and wrinkles.
- JUVÉDERM XC contains lidocaine for increased patient comfort during treatment.
All hyaluronic acid fillers are harmlessly broken down and eliminated by the body over time. Results from JUVÉDERM Injectable Gel can last for up to a year in some patients.
Restylane® and Perlane® are also hyaluronic acid dermal fillers that replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin, to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. The unique molecules of the synthetic hyaluronic acid bind to water, giving the skin needed volume and hydration that lasts for up to six months.
- Restylane is well-suited for lines and wrinkles around the mouth, as well as lip augmentation.
- Perlane is composed of larger hyaluronic acid molecules, and is often used for deeper folds and creases.
Your Next Step
Dermal fillers are a proven, non-surgical treatment simple enough to be completed on your lunch hour at our office. It's important to discuss your treatment expectations with Dr. Cattell or one of his associates. Together, you can review your medical history, the risks and benefits of treatment, the specific areas you want treated and the expected results. Dermal fillers may not be appropriate for certain lines and scars, or with the presence of some medical conditions. For most people, dermal filler replacement therapy is a safe, convenient and immediate way to treat lines and wrinkles.
